WHAT WE DO

— Curb Abuse And Violence

An abuse to one, is an abuse to all.
Sexual, Physical, Mental and Emotional Abuse on anyone, especially women and children degenerate the value of our society.

To curb abuse, The AID:

  • Promotes Love amongst agents of socialization (family, schools, churches, etc.) which altogether make up the broader society; and demotes hate- instigated abuse of fellow persons.
  • Sponsors education of the masses on the context of abuse, and the dangers of condoling the act.
  • Campaigns against shaming abuse victims and the culture of silence.
  • Sponsors the prosecution of perpetuators and the healing process of victims.

— Provide Education For Disadvantaged Kids

Disadvantaged kids in our society are usually shamed and discouraged from getting either a formal and /or a vocational education.

The AID:

  • Assists in educating People with Learning Disabilities through formal and vocational training.
  • Donates toward the education of under privileged kids.
  • Campaigns for better government funding for educating disadvantaged kids in the society especially PWLD, the under-privileged girl child, the fatherless, etc.

— Promote Good Governance

Good governance is achieved when elected officials manage public affairs and funding for the maximum benefit of the community.

The AID engages in:

  • Election Observation to ensure that the nation’s democracy is sacrosanct.
  • Policy Advocacy to raise awareness towards issues of public concern, and ensure that government’s proposed solution fall within the confines of respecting human rights and promoting community development.

— Access Basic Health Care For Rural Communities

Through private – public partnerships, medical missions and individual donations, The AID provides basic healthcare services to rural communities.

Services include:

  • Sex Education
  • STD Screening and Treatment
  • Malaria Screening and Treatment
  • Blood Sugar Testing
  • Diet and Exercise Classes
  • Family Planning Classes
  • Mental Health awareness
  • Eye Exam

— Poverty Alleviation

To eradicate hunger and abject poverty, The AID sources and provides employment, grants, equipment lease, vocational training, soft loans and consultancy services to young people and rural SMEs to boost their careers and businesses.

Widows’ SMEs are of great priority in the business funding scheme, while children with one or no parent(s) are of great priority in the employment sourcing scheme.
